The Oodle Edit · A life shared
Your Cavoodle, understood.
The shadow at your feet and the familiar greeting at the door. Build a care routine around your own Cavoodle’s personality, size and comfort.
The essentials
Cavoodles, also called Cavapoos, combine Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Poodle ancestry. Size, coat and temperament vary. A veterinary-reviewed breed guide gives a typical lifespan of 12–15 years; this is a broad estimate, not an Australian population forecast or a promise.
Health conversations worth having
Ask your vet about heart checks, kneecaps and eyes. Parent-line concerns include mitral valve disease, patellar luxation and inherited eye disease. Cavalier ancestry can also bring Chiari-like malformation/syringomyelia concerns. Report skipping, reduced stamina, persistent coughing, eye discomfort or unexplained neck sensitivity.
Good breeding records include relevant parent examinations as well as DNA results. A crossbreed label does not remove inherited risk.
Make the routine yours
Choose your Cavoodle’s age below, then keep a note of what your dog enjoys, their current measurements and questions for their next appointment. Bring the note to your groomer and vet so advice fits the same dog.
