A general vaccination timeline

C3 covers distemper, adenovirus and parvovirus. Discuss kennel-cough protection for contact with other dogs, and leptospirosis according to location and exposure. Rabies vaccination is not routine for dogs staying in Australia. Boarding providers may have specific requirements.
For missing records or overdue doses, obtain a catch-up plan. Do not guess. Health checks remain important between vaccination dates.
Parasite prevention is separate
Ask about heartworm, intestinal worms, fleas and paralysis ticks for your home and travel destinations. In tick-risk areas, search the coat daily even when using prevention. Suspected tick paralysis needs immediate veterinary attention.
Your appointment notes
- Dog’s name, date of birth and current weight
- Vaccine dates and product names from the existing record
- Current preventive products and last administration dates
- Boarding, daycare, swimming or interstate travel plans
- Previous reactions, health conditions and medications
