What to expect

Your Moodle may begin to show clearer preferences for company, play and personal space. Keep rewarding independent settling as well as time together. Repeated barking or distress during absences is a reason to seek help, not something they must simply grow out of.

Everyday care for your Moodle

Build dental care into a short, predictable routine. Check nails and paw comfort, and arrange coat care around the texture and length they actually have. Choose walking equipment by measurements and fit, with hardware comfortable for their size.

Food, exercise & rest

Review adult portions once growth is complete. Track condition under the coat, since fluff can hide weight change. Offer interesting, self-paced walks and games with appropriately sized toys; supervise play with dogs whose size or style could overwhelm them.

What to watch for

Recurring bad breath, dropping food or chewing on one side can indicate mouth discomfort. Book an examination rather than covering the smell with a product. Repeated skipping or reluctance to jump also warrants a check.

Questions for your vet

Ask your vet to establish a healthy weight range and dental plan, and review any knee concerns. Confirm the vaccines and parasite prevention suited to your home, travel and daycare arrangements.

A small thing to try together

Choose one household routine to make easier, such as waiting calmly while the lead is attached. Keep the goal small enough that your Moodle can succeed.
